Starting 11:30 August 5 our first official fund raiser was off to a great start. Many thanks to Golden City Brewery and Pile High Burgers for donating ten percent of your proceeds. Many thanks to Eli Baumgarten our awesome live music for his donation . The Baumgarten family was fully engaged in hosting our event.
Aden Baumgarten hosted our table for information about Jeffco Eats. He is quite a leader for a young man in junior high. Diana Baumgarten, social worker at Foothills Elementary is a right hand super star with Barbara Moore in launching Jeffco Eats to being fully funded so they can serve up weekend food totes to all the hundreds of students who want and deserve them.
Howie Baumgarten was our announcer during the day from 11:30 to 7:30 pm sharing the mission and vision of Jeffco Eats and facts about hunger among Colorado children.
We raised over $1000 dollars from donation by GCB and Pile High burgers and cash and paypal donations. People were so kind and generous. People signed up for our volunteering events also.
